How it all began
With its humble beginnings Steve Tankersley a Texas based session guitarist turned song writer seeing firsthand the entire recording industry experience a slow and painful death primairly due to advances in technology. He recognized the need to think different about how to go to market. Including how to navigate past the already hyper saturated professional song writing industry. Along with avoiding a plethora of "blood sucking vultures" with publicist or so called promoters that will fleece their clients of a small fortune.
Tankersley also working within the Texas live music entertainment scene for over 3 decades. Along with his years in Nashville witnessing the demise of an entire industry to the point of very nearly closing its doors. Yet somewhere back in the shadows with unknown faceless, nameless professional session players and vocalist still find a way to carve out a living doing what they have a passion to pursue.
This being where Tankersley siezing upon the opportunity to leverage a wealth of talent available. Utilizing that hidden gem of what remains, he began building libraries of songs he has written,recorded and self promoting using a similar model Steely Dan leveraged during the recording of the album Aja. More than two dozen musicians were brought in for different songs recorded on that iconic Steely Dan album.
Tankersley now taking the same exact approach bringing songs to life.

Including over 20 new songs soon to be published by October 2025 and available on all streaming media outlets.
